Sorry no pictures this time but I do have some good information. The condensed version of the story is we needed a new alternator for Eunes' vehicle. We almost had to get a remanufactured unit but ran into the right people today. Here's the deal. Carlos runs Mendoza Auto Electrical Supplies and Luis runs Castillo Garage. Both are here in Belize City. Instead of having to buy a whole remanufactured alternator and have it installed for $400.00 BZD, we got Luis to fix the old one for $182.00 BZD. In a nutshell, Carlos sells just about all the auto electrical parts you could need in Belize and Luis can install or fix just about anything auto electrical.
Carlos heard me question the technical knowledge and recommendation of a nearby garage. They were about to do the typical. Pull the whole part and replace it. He politely redirected me to Luis, called him, set up the appointment, and sent an employee to guide us there by riding a bike in front of us as we followed in the vehicle. Luis works out of his home and he's very obviously busy. The yard was covered with vehicles. Luis pulled the part, diagnosed it, bought the new parts, repaired, and installed it in about an hour. By the way, Carlos stocks just about everything from alternator parts to ECUs. Nice.
