I carried three backpacks averaging about 80 lbs each, totaling over 100 miles, up about 1 mile, in crappy weather, and took 3,500+ pictures too.

This was a rather ill fated attempt to climb the back side of Mount Thor and rappel down the front face of it. If done correctly, it would have been a 4,000 foot single line rappel. Instead we got pinned down by bad weather with each of us spending up to 22 hours a day tucked away in our bivy sacks on little rock ledges for a few days. Still it was worth it to me. Everyone else was pissed off but I came for the journey and the pictures so I got the minimum of what I wanted out of the deal anyway. I did, however, discover that I had the beginnings of arthritis in both knees which did suck.
