I think this is your typical Cayo District, Belize wedding. It was very traditional and inspired me to shoot to reflect that observation.

Some of my friends called me into this assignment to get a little practice shooting weddings. These Belizean families were very conservative and the wedding reflected that traditional stance on life and religion. Of course everything ran on Belizean time so this was a bit of a waiting game. The reception was under a tent in the families front yard in La Familia near San Ignacio. I had a great time shooting this couple and very extended family. I think most of the village was at the reception.
